SJIL is committed to providing immediate and unrestricted open access to all published articles. All articles are freely available to readers upon publication without subscription or access fees.

SJIL considers open access an important means of promoting the broad dissemination, accessibility, and use of scholarly research in international law, particularly research addressing legal issues of significance to the Global South.

Readers may access, read, download, copy, search, and otherwise use published articles in accordance with the applicable copyright and licensing terms stated for each article.

SJIL does not restrict access to its published content on the basis of institutional affiliation, geographic location, or subscription status. Any applicable article processing charges or publication fees, where imposed, are addressed separately in the Journal's publication fee policy.
